About the Institute of Child Health Library
Established in 1974, the Institute of Child Health Library is a satellite of the Health Sciences Library. It caters for academics and students at the Red Cross War Memorial Children’s Hospital, South Africa’s leading centre for post-graduate specialist paediatric medical and surgical training.
We provide an information and reference service to 5th year medical students, student interns (6th years), registrars (postgraduates), consultants, academics, allied heath staff, and day visitors.
We cover all paediatric subspecialities such as allergies, anaesthesia, cardiology, child abuse, child development, endocrinology, gastroenterology, infectious diseases, neurosciences, neurosurgery, nursing, oncology, orthopaedics, pathology, psychiatry, pulmonology, radiology, and surgery.
